How do I renew my certificate?

How can I renew without my challenge phrase?
When you are prompted for the challenge phrase you will note the following message: "If you do not remember the challenge phrase click here..."
You can still renew as long as the Distinguished name in the CSR matches the previous details. If you have any questions please call customer support at MSC Trustgate

When should I start the renewal process?
You should start the renewal process no more than one month before your current certificate is due to expire. The new certificate will have an end date of either 1 or 2 years in advance pf the previous certificate depending on whether you choose to renew your certificate for a 1 or 2 year period. Your new certificate may overlap your old certificate by as much as 30 days.

Can I change my contacts listed on the order?
During the renewal process the contact fields will pre-populate with the information previously submitted. You can at this time change the contact details - any changes will be confirmed by MSC Trustgate during the validation of the order.

What is required for IIS 5.0?
If you are renewing an existing certificate on an IIS 5.0 server, please follow these instructions.

Do I need to update my Secure Site Seal when I renew my certificate?
Yes. Whenever you Renew, Replace or change an SSL certificate you will need to update your existing Secure Site Seal.
